Photovoltaic quotes in Morocco: eight points to compare
Two photovoltaic quotes can cover different capacities, equipment and work. Compare equivalent needs and written assumptions, rather than the lowest price alone.
1. Check the study inputs
Ask which bills and measurements informed sizing. Annual totals are a starting point, but daytime business activity differs from evening household use. List main appliances, operating hours and any missing information.
2. Understand the proposed capacity
kWp describes rated power under reference conditions, not daily usable energy. Check module quantities and specifications and ask why the proposed capacity suits your demand. A larger system may cost more without providing comparable value to every household.
3. Identify the equipment
Require exact panel and inverter references. For batteries, specify usable capacity, power and purpose. Shifting consumption does not automatically mean backup during an outage. List fixings, cables, protection and services: “complete installation” alone cannot define a comparable offer.
4. Read generation assumptions
A kWh estimate should state location, orientation, tilt, shading and losses. Clarify whether output is an estimate or a contractual commitment. An output achieved at another building is not a promise for your site.
5. Detail works and exclusions
Check whether the study, installation, connection, commissioning and follow-up are included. Roof work, electrical adaptations and access equipment may cost extra. Specify responsibility for building adaptations, waterproofing, grid procedures and handover documents.
6. Distinguish warranties
Equipment warranties, performance warranties and installation commitments cover different things. Obtain durations, exclusions and documents. Identify the contact for faults and conditions for travel or replacement. Keep references and serial numbers in the technical file.
7. Examine the financial calculation
Savings depend on electricity used on site, electricity prices and ongoing costs. Separate self-consumption savings from potential surplus revenue, whose applicable conditions must be verified. Compare scenarios rather than a supposedly certain payback period. Explain batteries, maintenance and future-price assumptions.
8. Plan handover and follow-up
Ask for the schedule, acceptance conditions, monitoring demonstration, operating guidance and support contacts. Clarify how generation anomalies will be reported and assessed.
Frequently asked questions
Is the cheapest quote best? Compare equal scopes: equipment, work and warranties can explain differences. Can a quote be prepared without a visit? An initial estimate is possible, but technical constraints must be confirmed. Explore Novasolar's photovoltaic solutions and send bills and site photos for a detailed proposal.
